ACCE, a non-profit community organization made up of community volunteers gathered 3,500 signatures from registered National City voters to place Rent Stabilization on the ballot in November. But instead of allowing the voters to decide on the law in November, the city is suing the proponents. Possibly delaying the process until after the November election and not having rent stabilization in National City.
Our residents have spoken! We want to vote on rent stabilization, and stop displacement from occurring. We are tired of rent hikes that are out of control, only harming our community.
